I'm not trying to start shit here so I'll just say I read the liability form and its impressive and thorough. It uses very explicit language. covers twice as much as IBJJF or CBJJ forms. Its hard to sign that form then check the "Youth (4-6 year old) box". What if my child's referee has no experience with BJJ. Who knows anything at this point. The way this tournament is organized. Its a very real risk. SYR has shown me in many ways that they do not know what they're doing with this tournament. Download and read the liability form, its a trip. it protects SYR from "unknown risks" you might face. You guys can be negligent about everything else but please protect the kids. Use the unknown black belts as refs if you can. Don't yell "rip if off" when a boy is in an arm-lock. Shit don't even allow subs for the kids.

as respectfully as I could,

well, the tournament is not on the main land, so anything will fly.. what parents would have to do is, higher a lawyer, or have their child miss the chance to gain valuable experience..

I know tomorrow is the registration deadline and I'm suppose to turn in the money to my instructor. But I need to know where else I can register because I can't train tomorrow.

you can submit your form online to vinceq@shoyoroll.com .

Can competitors participate in both their weight class and the open class?

Yes they just need to note this on their form.

Pics with almost all the medal winners, missed two divisions, I think Bronze is left, silver is middle, and gold is on the right.
